Community Sport Advisor - two part time positions - Whakatāne and Rotorua
Sport Bay of Plenty is seeking two part time (0.5 FTE) Community Sport Advisors, one based in the Whakatāne office and the other based in our Rotorua office
These roles will provide leadership, advice and guidance to enhance the quality and delivery of sport within the Eastern Bay and Central Bay areas.
Reporting to the Spaces and Places Team Leader, you will be responsible for working closely with clubs, councils, volunteers and the wider community

Healthy Active Learning Advisor - Whakatāne
Working alongside another Healthy Active Learning Advisor, you will work into 16 primary and intermediate schools across the Eastern Bay of Plenty to provide support to schools and kura to understand the value of the health and physical education curriculum as well as advocating for quality school and community play, sport and physical activities outside curriculum time.
The successful candidate will:
- hold a relevant tertiary qualification in education, preferable in health in education or have;
- experience in classroom teaching in primary, intermediate or secondary schools; and
- experience in designing and facilitating professional learning and development opportunities for Kaiako.
