Join us on December 14 2024 for the inaugural Rockys Backyard Ultra at McLaren Falls!
A backyard ultra is a unique ultramarathon where participants must complete a 6.71km loop every hour, on the hour, until one person remains. The catch? You must finish each loop in under an hour to continue. Whether you’re a seasoned ultra-runner or just looking to complete a few loops, this event is for you!
The course takes you through beautiful trails alongside Lake McLaren, passing waterfalls, native bush, and even glowworms if you’re running into the night. With an elevation gain of around 150m, this event offers both a physical and mental challenge in a breathtaking natural setting.
This is a self-supported event, so make sure to bring your own food, hydration, chair, and any other gear you need to keep going.
